Privacy Policy

Overview

At Dawent ("We," "Us," "Our"), we are committed to safeguarding your ("You," "Your," or "User") privacy and protecting your personal information with the utmost seriousness. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of your information when using our services.

Data Collection and Use

Information Collected Automatically

We automatically collect certain non-personal statistical information through Google Cloud Logging, which allows us to store data for no more than 30 days, search, analyze, monitor, and alert on logging data and application-related error logs. This information is used to identify potential abuse, diagnose technical issues, and improve our services. We implement encryption both in transit and at rest to ensure the security of the data during storage and transmission. Access to this logged data is restricted to authorized personnel only, and we enforce strict access controls to prevent unauthorized access. Where applicable, we anonymize or pseudonymize any logged data, particularly if it relates to user activity, to minimize privacy risks. This information is never shared with third parties and is handled in accordance with the highest industry standards for data protection.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website is hosted on Google Sites and Firebase™ Hosting, which may set certain cookies to enhance your browsing experience. These cookies include:

You can control and manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, or notify you when cookies are being sent. Please note that if you choose to disable cookies, some features of our website may not function properly, and your user experience may be affected.

Google Sites provides a built-in cookie notice that will automatically display when necessary, giving you further control and notification about our use of cookies.

Data Protection

We take the protection of your data seriously. Our services use the Google OAuth 2.0 protocol for authentication, ensuring that you do not need to disclose your login credentials to us. OAuth enables secure access to your data as necessary for the operation of the add-ons, with all data remaining within your Google account. When you install our add-on or app, you will be prompted to authorize specific permissions that are clearly presented to you during the installation process. These permissions may include access to basic account information (such as your name and email address) to facilitate a smooth and secure sign-in process.

We do not store any of your account data on our servers. All add-on settings and user data are stored exclusively within your Google account, with no extraction or transmission to external servers or third-party services. Under no circumstances is your data used for advertising, included in AI/ML models, or shared with third parties, except as outlined in the Third-Party Integrations clause below. We strongly encourage you to review the permissions carefully before granting access to ensure that you understand the scope of data we are able to access, and we only request what is necessary to operate the service.

Communication and Support

When you contact us via email at support@dawent.com or through our website contact form, you grant us permission to use the information you provide to resolve the issue you are experiencing, including but not limited to problem descriptions, screenshots, and other debugging data. This information will be securely stored within our Google Workspace account and used internally to resolve issues, enhance our services, and improve the utilization of relevant Google products, applications, or services. We assure you that this information will not be shared, sold, or used by third parties, except as outlined in the Third-Party Services clause below.

Data Changes and Service Deactivation

You may request to delete or deactivate your account if your personal information changes or if you no longer wish to use our services. You can do this by uninstalling our Google add-on or contacting us directly. We will respond to such requests within seven (7) business days.

Data Sharing and Usage

We do not sell, lease, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties, except as specified in the Third-Party Services clause. The data we collect is used solely to provide the services you have explicitly requested. We do not use this data for AI or machine learning (ML) development, improvement, or training.

Third-Party Services

We use third-party payment processors, such as PayPal, Stripe, and Razorpay, to process payments for our services. We also use Google Chat/Email services to assist you with any questions regarding our website or your order. Please note that we neither store nor have access to your credit card details. Your use of these third-party services is governed by the legal terms, privacy policies, and practices of those providers. By interacting with these services, you acknowledge and agree to abide by their respective terms of service and privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them carefully. We do not control or manage the privacy practices or legal obligations of these third parties, and we are not responsible for any actions or omissions by them in relation to your data.

Third-Party Integrations

Some of our integration-type add-ons may involve integration with third-party services. Any interactions, communications, or use of features related to these third-party services are governed by their respective privacy policies. We do not control or manage the privacy practices of these third parties and are not responsible for their data handling practices.

By configuring or saving your API key, token, or connecting to a third-party service through OAuth2 via our add-on, you agree to connect to these third-party integrations. You acknowledge and agree that we are not liable for any actions or omissions of third-party services with respect to your data or services. You further agree that by interacting with third-party APIs through our add-ons, you are granting exclusive access to your data on the Google platform to the third party via our add-on.

We strongly encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third parties to understand their data handling practices.

Legal Disclosures

We reserve the right to disclose your personal information as required by law, such as in response to subpoenas, bankruptcy proceedings, or other legal processes. The only personal information we collect, as outlined in the Data Collection and Use - License Upgrade clause (e.g., email address, name, contact details, and address), is the information we may share under such circumstances. Additionally, we may disclose any communication or interaction information you have provided to us if we believe such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, the safety of others, investigate fraud, or comply with legal proceedings, court orders, or legal processes served on our website.

If legal authorities request your personal information, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of the request, unless prohibited by law or if such disclosure would hinder an investigation.

Terms of Service

We take all measures reasonably necessary to protect User Personal Information from unauthorised access, alteration, or destruction; maintain data accuracy, and help ensure the appropriate use of User Personal Information. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Dawent does not target its offerings toward, and does not knowingly collect any personal information from, users under 13 years of age.

In the event we go through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your personal information will likely be among the assets transferred. You will be notified via email of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.

In no event shall Dawent be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use our software and services.

You are notified while using the add-on via a banner notification or through a notification on the website. We may update our privacy policy to reflect changes to our information practices. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by email (sent to the email address specified in your account) or by means of a notice on our website when the change becomes effective. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices.
